Note: The City & Guilds IESOL & ISESOL is recognized and accepted by educational institutions and employers worldwide to assess the English language proficency of applicants whose first language
is not English. It consists of four components: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Because it includes a fairly rigorous test of all skills, many selectors feel that the City & Guilds IESOL & ISESOL
gives a clearer picture of an applicant’s proficiency.
